Cassettes available at local stores, NAMM next week and more

I'm so happy that the cassette version of The Pressure EP (released on Dazzleships Records) is now available at two of my favorite local shops - Tender Loving Empire (on Hawthorne) and Music Millennium. Every copy is only $8 and comes with a download code for digital files. If you live in Portland, check it out next time you're at one of those locations!

In other news, I was invited to a Pre-NAMM Endorse Expo next week as a Nord Artist. I'll also be attending the NAMM Show itself for the first time, really looking forward to it!

Check out these new business cards I made for the occasion. Graphic artist / musician JP Downer designed them and they were printed at Cravedog. The photo used on the cards was taken by my friend Hunter Paye. I'm really happy with the results, here's a pic:

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being a guest on The Monday Sampler on KBOO Radio with host Jessy Damon. It was awesome!

New Song on PDX Spotlight!

I'm happy to share a brand new song called Malady, performed live on PDX Spotlight, a great TV/Online show that showcases artists from Portland!

The full episode will feature both me and my friend The Secret Sea, and will premiere on January 8th on Comcast channel 11 in Portland. It will also be available for streaming at www.pdxspotlight.com.

A big thanks to the PDX Spotlight crew for having me, and to Andrew Grosse from Caravan Recordings for the great job mixing and mastering the session!

'The Pressure' played at the Portland Trailblazers game!

Sometimes, you get exciting news when you least expect it.

My song The Pressure was played during halftime at the Portland Trail Blazers game last night, thanks to the NBA team's Director of Game Operations Todd Bosma. He tweeted this yesterday morning:

I couldn't go to the game on such short notice unfortunately, but my friend Veronica Bisesti shot a video that you can watch here (Facebook) or here (Instagram).

Here's a photo taken by Maxwell Cope:

It was a great way to start the week for sure! :)

Friends & Friends of Friends 9 release show photos

I had a great time performing at local record label Tender Loving Empire's compilation release show last Thursday! The TLE staff is amazing and it was fun sharing the stage with 5 fantastic local acts.

I played a brand new challenging song for the first time, you can check out a short video from the performance HERE. The full version of the song will be featured in an upcoming episode of PDX Spotlight featuring GLASYS and The Secret Sea!

I was also lucky to have the amazing Coco Columbia join me on stage to perform our Björk cover for the second time. Check out some photos:

EP Out, Upcoming Fall Shows!

It's been a week since my EP release show, and even though I wrote about the experience on social media I didn't get the chance to share it on my website until now. So here goes:

The show was incredibly fun and I couldn't have asked for a better turnout or a more supportive crowd! I'm really grateful for everyone who came out and packed the place.
The other two acts who performed, Rare Diagram and Coco Columbia both played killer sets and it was a real pleasure to share the stage with them. Coco joined me on stage for a Björk cover and her band's incredible drummer Micah Hummel played a couple of tunes with me too, it so much fun collaborating with these guys!

Plus more... here's a list (photo is also by Hunter Paye, taken at my release show):

Oh, and my EP The Pressure is officially out of course! It's available on most online digital music stores or streaming websites. Here are links to BandcampCDBaby, iTunes and Spotify. Cassettes were released on Dazzleship Records and are available at shows.
